Kendall Goo has over 30 years as both a competitor and instructor in the art of JuJutsu, 20 years as a black belt and is the 4th highest ranking black belt in the Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Network. He is a Royce Gracie Black Belt instructor and holds two world titles in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well as countless state and national championships.

Kendall's broad base of competitive experience, knowledge of self-defense, and teaching philosophy is a rare combination to be found in today’s martial arts academies. Kendall is an expert in competition techniques, self-defense, and has a law enforcement background specializing in defensive tactics.
Kendall was born and raised in Hawaii, and traveled the globe to master the art of Jiu-Jitsu.

Prior to becoming a police officer, Kendall earned his Bachelor's of Science and Masters of Science in Kinesiology, a post-baccalaureate in Secondary Physical Education, and is also a certified Adaptive Education Teacher.

Kendall spent 8 years as a public school teacher prior to moving to Arizona in 2007 to open up Arizona's largest mixed martial arts school. ​​​​


Kendall has 18 years experience as a full-time police Officer and Sergeant working various details from patrol to the Special Assignments Unit (SWAT), and has enjoyed a decorated career. He has earned the Medal of Life Saving, Distinguished Service award as well as the coveted Medal of Valor from the department.
Kendall's extensive training and real world experience includes defensive tactics instructor, field training officer, and detective certification. Kendall is also a firearms instructor, showing proficiency in various weapon systems, to include handguns, rifles, shotguns, and less-lethal force options. His Special Assignments Unit experience provides a vast knowledge of special weapons and tactics, vehicle interdiction techniques, covert operations, surveillance, and hostage rescue.
